Shipping, Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Don't Be Basic, we aim to provide a smooth and satisfying shopping experience. This policy outlines our shipping timelines, return process, refund eligibility, and order cancellation terms.


1. Shipping Policy

1.1 Processing Time

  • Orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.

  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

1.2 Delivery Time

  • Metro Cities (India): 3–5 business days

  • Non-Metro Cities: 5–7 business days

  • Remote Areas: 7–10 business days
    (Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to courier delays or unforeseen circumstances.)

1.3 Shipping Charges

  • Free shipping on prepaid orders above. This is subject to change.

  • For COD orders a flat COD fee of ₹49 will be charged. This is subject to change.

1.4 Order Tracking

  • A tracking link will be sent via email/SMS once your order is dispatched.


2. Return Policy

2.1 Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted within 7 days from the date of delivery.

  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and in original packaging with tags intact.

  • Certain items such as intimates, swimwear, and final sale products are not eligible for returns.

2.2 Return Process

  1. Email us at support@dontbebasic.in or call 9147752250 with your order ID and reason for return.

  2. Our customer support team will guide you on initiating the return.

  3. Once approved, schedule a reverse pick-up or self-ship to the address provided.

2.3 Return Shipping Cost

  • For defective or wrong items, shipping charges will be borne by us.

  • For other returns (e.g., change of mind, size issues), the customer bears the return shipping cost.


3. Refund Policy

3.1 Refund Method

  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method or as store credit within 5–7 business days after return approval and product inspection.

3.2 Non-Refundable Cases

  • Products returned in a used/damaged condition.

  • Items returned after the return window.

  • Items marked as non-returnable on the product page.


4. Exchange Policy

  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability.

  • If the desired size/style is unavailable, a refund or store credit will be offered.


5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 Before Dispatch

  • Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement by contacting our customer care.

  • Full refund will be issued for prepaid orders.

5.2 After Dispatch

  • Once shipped, orders cannot be cancelled. Customers can request a return after delivery as per our return policy.
